Sports/Remedial massage and Reiki

Remedial massage

This is a treatment targeted at areas where there is discomfort or pain caused by overuse and/or dysfunctional movement. Various techniques are used to work deeply into the soft tissues to relieve tension. These can be extremely relaxing treatments and are also highly beneficial for stress release.

Sports massage

These treatments are not necessarily for those participating in sports – however, they are popular with athletes of any level who have picked up injuries or niggles through their training. Injuries can be addressed in these treatments and sessions might include various tests to determine what techniques will be most beneficial, as well as training advice to keep injuries at bay.

Reiki

Reiki is a non invasive therapy which works on an energetic level, helping to rebalance the body and mind. It can be a beneficial alternative to manual therapy for physical ailments but is also particularly useful for those who feel that change is perhaps on the horizon in their life. People report feeling more calm and centred after a treatment. There is the opportunity at the end to talk through the experience with the practitioner.

These therapies are offered by both Anna Toombs and David Robinson on Thursdays at Rise Osteopathy. Please call 0203 581 0540 to book an appointment.

Anna and David are collectively known as TR Balance http://www.trbalance.com
